making dental care fun for toddlers with aquafresh

I have to admit, teeth brushing with my girls, especially Vivian, is not my favorite time of day. I always wonder if she's really getting her teeth clean. Some nights she rushes through the motions, other evenings she just wants to chew on her tooth brush. Agh! It can be a frustrating process.

I've thought of a couple things that help -- I tell her to brush her teeth while I sing the "ABCs" and she can't stop until I've gotten to Z. Think of it as the "Happy Birthday" song while you're washing your hands (you've heard of that one, right?)! Also, I find that if I brush my teeth at the same time, she will watch me and copy what I'm doing. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, even in teeth brushing! Lastly, it goes without saying, but a yummy-tasting toothpaste will help keep your little ones interested, too.
