Film festival season is happening now, though perhaps it's not immediately what you would think. Do you know about
The New York International Children's Film Festival? Running through March 20th, this is a wonderful time to check out films from approximately 30 countries, made especially for ages 3-18. And the best part?
Tickets are still available! In fact, we're looking forward to checking out the
Shorts for Tots program on Sunday afternoon in Chelsea.
Established in 1997 as a way of exposing children to animation, live action, documentary and experimental shorts & features on a global level, the Festival has grown exponentially over the years to include Q&A's with filmmakers,
camps, field trips, film making workshops, audience voting & a Closing Night celebration. All while encouraging an appreciation for the arts on an international level. This Festival is one of the many, many reasons why I love raising my children in this vibrant city!
Just a few of the many films being featured this month. Enjoy!
